Accent french letter

hi
i've got a problem with the french accent letter.
when i've got an accent in the folder name or a file name, i haven't got the good icon.
i've set the UTF-8 variable in apache ( http://screencast.com/t/HouWQlbGksE ) but it doen't work

elFinder has nothing to do with iconv setting, make sure your page is using utf-8, set the meta tag.

i've got the metatag:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

Can you post the screenshot of the problem itself please, and give us more info about the OS where connector is running? And by what you mean "i haven't got the good icon"?
Also please check how it works on demo.

it's work on the demo
when i set a folder name with a é or è or something like that, all the file under this folder looks : http://screencast.com/t/xTpsodCRX
same if i set a file name with this letters.
server is under linux

That filename is changed is kind a strange (elFinder do not replace characters itself). If you can please upload some file with accent my ftp/scp and see how it will look in elFinder. Maybe this is some json_encode problem.
About what you don't have thumbnails is probably that mimetype does not work, so try to set connector option mimeDetect to internal - this should give you the thumbnails, if you have php-gd module installed

it doesn't change the filename, i screencast that from a folder named with a 'é'.
i'm testing the mimeDetect
